Because the thermal energy is transferred by electromagnetic radiation, infrared heating processes achieve a high operating efficiency. The irradiated object absorbs the infrared radiation and transforms it into heat.

Information: Short Wave Systems - NIR
Optron抯 infrared emitters IRX und IRE are compact, short wave emitter units with a high performance in industrial drying processes. An integrated fan keeps the casing抯 temperature at an optimal level. The emitters are designed to be easily mounted and combined to create any possible emitter field. Compared to middle or long wave emitters, short wave technology offers clear advantages, for example in lacquer-drying. The shortwave energy penetrates the lacquer coating and dries it from the inside. This means being able to work with higher performance output without having to risk bubble formation- which results in a shorter drying time.
We offer small-sized power controllers in many variations and classes especially for the use in engineering. You can find them under the menu item power controllers.
The deciding factors in process optimization in the area of infrared heat are the positioning and the selection of the heating elements. Depending on the application as well as the length of the cycle and the material to be heated, one would either use short wave emitters with high performance output or middle wave IR emitters.

Our desktop-sized electronic power controllers are available in various sizes. They can be used wherever the heating process needs to be optimized.
Our wide range of power controllers has been specially designed for our different emitter technologies. Therefore we can offer two different series of power controllers. The PLS series is based on the flimmer-free phase proportioning principle and makes it more comfortable to work in the vicinity of the emitters by eliminating the tubes?flimmer effect. This technology is especially useful with moving objects, i.e. in continuous production processes, because it allows for the permanent and steady heating of the material. The PLS series?fan and over-temperature protection controls have been built directly into the cassette. Power controllers of the PLS series can be operated with IRE or IRX emitters. The ILS and PLS-M series were specially designed for middle wave emitters like our twintube emitter (Link: Twintube) and our quartzcassette (Link: QS emitter).
The cost-effective burst-fire technology has been customized for the inert heating properties of these tubes.
